WHAT LAMBOLEY SAID
His statement, as cited by , read: "What is said about him is completely false. He was not excluded from the group and he has no problem with the coach, Erik ten Hag. Anthony [Martial] has been in Manchester for nine seasons, and if he was not a great professional then he would not have been at the club for so long. He is simply going to undergo a small operation on his adductors, which he should have done for a while and which did not allow him to be 100 per cent, so he will do it now."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The attacker has not received an offer for a new contract and looks set to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season. It is anticipated that he will go on a free transfer. According to reports, United would consider bids for Martial during the current transfer window as offloading his £250,000 ($317,000) weekly salary would allow them to invest in players, while still adhering to the Premier League's FFP regulations.
